I love to write and hope to teach students the type of skills they need to be better writers in order to succeed in the real world. I am also skilled in vocabulary, grammar, and literary analysis; basically, anything related to the field of English aside from ESL.

I starred in between 7-8 plays when I was working on my undergraduate English degree and took some lead roles in a few of them. I have a minor in Drama in addition to my undergraduate degree in English literature. At university, I studied acting as a craft, from both the practical first-hand perspective and from the theoretical perspective.

Public Speaking

I took Public Speaking at the undergraduate level and passed with an A+. In addition to this, I had to deliver and defend my undergraduate capstone orally. My undergraduate minor is in Drama and while in college I was in 7 different plays and was a main character in several and the lead actor in one. Because of my literary education I have a strong familiarity with rhetoric, both classical and modern.

Going great!

So far, my 11yo daughter had 3 guitar sessions with Forrest. I personally would prefer in-person music learning over online learning. Because Forrest's rate was reasonable, I decided to give it a try. The experience is better than expected. My daughter has in-person guitar lesson once/week. And she really likes the help she gets from Forrest (twice/week) before meeting her guitar teacher in person. I think it's worth it if your child (like mine) can't independently practice on her own.
