I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, and have had experience tutoring individuals from primary to collegiate levels of schooling. With previous experience in tutoring the basics of algebra, programming, art, writing, and networking, I am capable of adapting to diverse learning styles. For two years, I tutored elementary-level students in Japanese and Mandarin through the Mandarin-Japanese club that was hosted at a local school. I also taught several students privately in their particular subjects that I received the highest GPA awards in (Algebra II with Trig., AP English Language, and AP CS Principles). I established a tutoring block an hour a day for a Cyber Patriots Cyber Security Club and Computer Science club where high school students were tutored on the basics of Computer Science and Cyber Security. I have taught others the basics of hardware, networking, packet tracing, basic security for windows and Linux machines, and encryption and decryption. I also took a course in Microsoft certifications and received my Microsoft PowerPoint certification, as well as extensive experience in Excel and Word.
My main goal is ensuring that my students go beyond low-level understanding and are able to develop the confidence to approach their subject from any angle and in any circumstance. This not only relives stress in a testing environment, but it also builds a better foundation for students that are taking building topics. Having taken accelerated math courses up to AP Calculus BC, I have had in-depth experience with Algebraic concepts, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus and have been awarded distinctions of honor for my performances in the relevant courses I've taken.
