I was born in London, England in the middle of the "Blitz". I attended High School in London and then went on to Oxford University. Following college, I worked in the British aviation industry but felt I would have a better opportunity to work on Space projects in the United States. I decided to emigrate. My first job in the US was in Philadelphia working for GE Space Division. It was there were I met my future wife and raised my family. I later was hired by Delta Research Inc in Huntsville where I enjoyed an exciting career. Following retirement, I became a passionate wood worker and cabinet maker. Also a keen photographer and sailor.

I was always good at Math at High School which enabled me to obtain a hard-to-get scholarship to Oxford. I satisfied math requirements for a Physics degree at both Bachelor and Master Degree levels. I used algebra, calculus and trigonometry extensively in my 50 years career in one of the most technically intensive aerospace industries. Although math was not my favorite subject, I always managed to figure out how to solve problems but I do understand how difficult math can be and have developed techniques to make the subject more comprehensible.

Physics is a truly exciting subject for me and constantly amazed at all the latest discoveries. I have found that a good physics background enables one to work intelligently on almost any technical problem in engineering or science. I would like to teach Physics in a manner which not only helps pass exams but also encourages a love of all kinds of science or engineering.

I am an enthusiastic tutor and really enjoy working with students to generate a true understanding of both math and physics. This will not only form a basis for passing exams but for a future career in a technical world. Incidentally I had to work hard to obtain the necessary understanding of a subject, so I can relate to the difficulties some students face in reaching the required standards. I enjoy tutoring and get on well with young people.
