About Seth

I am a computer engineering major at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I have always loved the idea of sharing my knowledge through tutoring, but I have never had the opportunity and am thrilled to have it now.

I have always been in the most advanced math classes and have taken through Calculus 2 and am currently in Calculus 3, I particularly love calculus. I am strongly considering minoring in math. I also love science, I have never gotten less than a 98 in any science classes and have taken Earth Science, Biology, and Chemistry in high school and am currently in Chemistry and Chemistry Lab here at UAH. If I were to switch majors, I'd say it would probably be to chemical engineering, I love chemistry, though not as much as I love computers! I hope I can share some of my knowledge with you soon!

I am going to put lots of time in planning out my lessons and will help with any homework you may have or help study for any upcoming tests, quizzes, etc. I would be very interested in online tutoring for anyone outside my reach! I hope to see you soon, please contact me through the messaging system to schedule a lesson! See you soon!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade, a class that was extremely exclusive for 8th graders at my school and was top of my class. Since then I have done very well in algebra 2 honors, geometry honors, precalculus honors, AP calculus AB, and AP calculus BC, earning the highest possible score on both AP exams. I have taken calculus 3 in college and may minor in math. I am currently enrolled in Differential Equations.

Calculus

I took AP Calculus AB and BC earning an A in both and a five on both AP exams. I also have taken Calculus 3 in college receiving an A+ and am currently in Differential Equations.

Clarinet

I began on the Bb clarinet in sixth grade band. Later, I switched to saxophone but continued to play the clarinet on the side. By my junior year in high school I was asked to play the contra alto clarinet for the performance for the Tennessee Music Education Association state-wide conference which we were asked to play on for our excellence. I played the contra alto clarinet for a year in preparation for this extremely important concert. I also was the leader of the "low reed" section of my band my senior year and thus was in charge of the bass clarinets and contra alto clarinet.

Elementary Math

I am currently enrolled in Calculus 3 and went through the honors math program at my high school. I thoroughly enjoy math and may minor in it.

Saxophone

I joined my middle school band in sixth grade and began playing the alto saxophone the second semester. I played the saxophone for the next seven years through senior year of high school and performed at dozens of concerts. I was also a part of the jazz band for five years and a saxophone quartet for two years. I played the alto saxophone for six years and the tenor saxophone for my last year, and have also played a soprano and baritone saxophone for countless hours.
