As a visual learner who connects concepts best through pictures, stories, and games I understand how challenging it can be trying to learn outside your learning your learning style. My approach to learning is fun, interactive, and memorable. I believe its not only important to know how to do something but why you should do it and how learning this new skill will be useful in every day life.

I was raised in a library and books were almost sacred! Reading was to discover, explore, question, and (coincidentally) learn. Learning to love reading translated into a love for public speaking and theatre because it allowed me to share all these amazing stories I'd read and created. I became a member of Toastmasters as a way to hone my skills and also earned a two-year degree in Dramatic Arts.
As a current theology major all these passions are combined. Not only am I delving deeper into a fascinating book of stories (the Bible) but I also get to use my experience in public speaking and dramatic arts to make the Bible come alive for others.
My father taught me to play chess when I was about 6 years old and today I work as a chess coach, each week helping students between the ages of 6-14 learn the rudiments of the game and basic strategies to becoming successful at the chess. Not only is the game fun but it teaches critical thinking skills that will come in handy in all areas of life.
My greatest passion is stage performance and I earned my first degree in Dramatic Arts. I have performed in many live productions (Meet Me in St. Louis, Curse God and Die, Distractions) as well as recorded spoken word art and live presentations.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently earning my bachelors degree in Theology.
I was the team captain of an undefeated regional Bible Bowl team in the Southeastern Conference for 4 concurrent years. In all four years we qualified to compete nationally and in two of those years we placed nationally, winning third and second place in our age division.
I earned my Associate of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts from the College of Central Florida. I'm experienced in character development, prop usage, and improvisation. I'm a proponent of method acting as a means of making a character become more real and personal to the actor in a way that allows them to bring it more vividly to life for their audience.
