In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
ADD or ADHD is a brain based condition that is characterized by poor attention and distractibility and/or hyperactive and impulsive behaviors. I have worked with ADD or ADHD students for 3 years and it is difficult to grasp their attention and hold it for long periods of time. It is best to become to recognize what excites them and attach that to their learning experience to hold their attention for a period of time. Often they have a favorite thing they like to do. If that favorite thing can be interchanged with whatever they may dislike this would be excellent.

Desktop publishing is the use of the computer and software to create documents such as newsletters, brochures, books, and other publications. I designed a Web site for an organization named LEMA at the University of Missouri in Saint Louis using Dream Weaver and continue to use Dream Weaver from time to time. Dreamweaver is not designed to completely remove the agents HTML and CSS coding from your web design, so if that is what you are looking for look further. You must occassionally fall back on using your HTML and CSS skills. Dreamweaver writes good HTML using an easy point-and-click interface. Dreamweaver has built-in dependency tracking that will automaticall manage your files and will update your pages for you accordingly. Some designs are impossible to achieve using the built-in layout tools. In these cases, you can go in and manually edit the HTML and CSS that Dreamweaver produces to tweak to exacly what you need.
Students may tend to read slowly due to trying to read words backwards rather than forward. May tend to want to start from the back of the book and move forward. Children with dyslexia have difficulty learning because it is caused by an impairment in the brain's ability to translate images received from the eyes or ears into understandable language. Often dyslexia causes frustration, depression, and low self-esteem. There are several types of dyslexia. The two types that I am most familiar with are dysgraphia and dyscalculia. Dysgraphia is when one tend to transpose letters or words, and Dyscalculia is where the person tend to have trouble with the symbols of mathematics. I taught 6-8 grade exceptional students with disabilities for 3 years some of whom were dyslexic. I myself am dyslexic, but with practice I became an excellent reader at an early age. I do tend to reverse words and letters when I write, so I critique my work very carefully, since I am a doctoral student.

Before doing anything, learn a few basic applications such as a paint program and a simple Web-page editing program. Next start thinking about a general layout and what you want your site to look like. Keep in mind the age of the audience. This will guide your organization and design. Once you come up with a basic outline of what you want the website to include, collect your graphics, audio clips, video, and text that you need.
