As a teacher, I believe it is critical to provide tutoring services to help students fill in missing gaps. I have tutored as an undergraduate student and continued to provide it as a teacher. One-on-one tutoring is one of the most effective ways to tutor because the student can ask questions and he or she gets instant feedback. Education is a critical component of our community to make a brighter future for all. With several years of experience in middle school, high school mathematics, and college math tutoring, I am prepared to provide effective tutoring based on my mathematical background. Below are some highlights of my educational career thus far: 4 years successful experience teaching in the middle school math classroom, approximately 3 successful years experience as a university math tutor, and a master's degree in k-12 math education (Western Oregon State University.)

My tutoring sessions are structured based on the student's preferences, but I believe concept teaching is the most effective. Students cannot understand a concept if they do not know how the concept is developed to understand its purpose in math and the real world. My past students have experienced great success in tutoring because they are perfecting their math skills in each session.
