I make a conscious effort each day to avoid sitting at my desk. I want my students to know that I do not think of myself as being above them. I want them to feel as though the school year is a journey that we all make together. I simply suggest the direction that we should travel and let them determine the pace; my students drive the lesson plans making each school year a unique trip. By building a trust and mutual respect for the student/teacher relationship first, we are able to come together as a team and focus on the content second.
I have 15 years experience teaching math of many different levels. I have taught 7th through 12th grade students at multiple schools. I have experience tutoring intro to Pre-Algebra all the way through Algebra 2.
