My mother tongue is Spanish, but I've been studying English nearly all my life. I was born in Valencia, Spain, where I have lived until relocating to Birmingham, Alabama, this year. In Valencia, I studied Dramatic Art at Escuela Superior de Arte Dramàtico de Valencia and founded my own company, in which I was an actress, co-playwright, assistant director, director or producer in the shows we created. I've written various theatre plays and several scripts for different social events and ceremonies.

For the last 20 years, using my fluency in English and Spanish, I have tutored children from 3 to 18 years besides adults in several schools and high schools in Valencia and Castelló, such as CEIP Antonio Machado (Torrent), CEIP Jesús (Valencia), CEIP El Barranquet (Godella), CEIP Jaime Balmes (Valencia), CEIP Santiago Grisolia (Valencia), IES Serra Perenxisa (Torrent) or Universitat Popular de Benicarló, in English, Theatre, Storytelling and ICT. With my advanced English certification by Centre d'Idiomes De La Universidad De Valencia, my tutoring work, and my background in dramatic arts, I have both interest and experience to maintain good communication with students. I teach at almost every level, from essential or basic to advanced, and I hope I can help my students improve their language skills as well as introduce them to a different and enriching culture.

My flair for and experience in drama makes for a lively classroom. When possible, I choose role play, word play and language arts games to keep my students interested. This approach has worked well for me in the past. I have had no complaints of boredom and students have said that the give-and-take of my classroom structure helps them remember what they have learned. I am a conscientious instructor--I notice when a student is having trouble or not responding to certain lessons. Within time limits, I try to focus on that student in a way that he or she can understand, bringing him or her along with the rest of the group.

I consider myself to be a creative and highly motivated person, and due to my Drama degree, I usually look for different ways of introducing my pupils to the subject, with discipline but in a enjoyable atmosphere. As John Cleese said, "He/she who laughs most, learns best.
