In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently a dance teacher at Ebony Arrington dance studio. I have taught for 7 years ballet and different other aspects of dance. I have done this genre of dance since the age of two. I also went to New York on a dance minor my first semester of college.
My major is communication sciences and disorders, so this is actually in my previous field of study. I teach speech and reading at the Boys and girls club at my college. The students that I teach are all in middle school.
I am currently a very organized college student. I will provide a cute schedule organizer to each student and we will discuss various ways to stay organized. I will also make it fun to show the importance of being prepared and organized. I am currently the coach of a dance team, teach in a red center, and I have to maintain high grades for scholarships.
