I am very passionate about teaching. I have taught private violin and viola lessons for many years, and my students are now musicians that play at gigs and orchestras. Working as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and College Algebra at WCSU has motivated me to pursue a career in dental education, where my goal is to become a faculty member at a dental school and provide research opportunities to students.
We learn so we can share and give back.
We learn so we can understand the world.

Parents are free to observe lessons. I can be reached by phone or email (only once payment information has been provided) for any questions or a cancellation. However, I must be notified within 4 hours. I am also willing to make up any tutoring session for weather conditions/court/family emergency/sickness/religious events. If a session is cancelled without a valid excuse, or if it is skipped, there will be a penalty fee of half the hourly rate.
If the parent and/or individual agrees, I will provide challenging homework assignments to complete based on the examples I provide. I will spend the time necessary every session to review prior homework and answer any questions before moving on to the next concept. I also ask for students to explain to me how they approached a problem. If they can do that and understand, then they have mastered the concept.
Edwin has provided examples of their subject expertise by answering 6 questions submitted by students on Wyzant’s Ask an Expert.

Very Professional & Efficient
Edwin tutors my 17 year senior in Pre-Calculus. We recently moved and my son was really having a hard time in his math class. With this being his last year in high school it was very important to find a tutor that my son could understand and could relate to. Edwin is flexable, very well knowledgeable of the subject and as my son would say "He just has a way of making sure that I get it". He breaks everything down in a format that your child can grasp. He has boosted my son's confidence in test taking and assisted him in pulling up his math grade. I would recommend Edwin to anyone that is really looking for an AWESOME tutor. Thanks Edwin for all of your help.Kizzy, 2 lessons with Edwin
