Hi there! My name is Audrey, and I am a freshman at Auburn University. Throughout high school, I did especially well in the areas of study I am offering for tutoring: Spanish, English, and reading/spelling/vocabulary. I took Advanced Placement classes to prepare me for college level courses (AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Spanish Language), and feel fully prepared to tutor students at the elementary and middle school level in any of the aforementioned subjects. In addition, I have taken the ACT multiple times, and achieved a perfect score in the English and Reading subsections. During my high school years, I took an elective course wherein I visited a class daily at the nearby elementary school, and served as a teacher's aid/partial tutor to kindergartners learning to read and spell. Since childhood, I have always had a strong love for reading and language, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to foster that same love in your young student!
I took Spanish language all four years of high school, finishing senior year with enrollment in AP Spanish Language. I took the AP Spanish language exam last May, and made a score of 4. I plan to minor in Spanish language at Auburn University, and am fully capable of tutoring students in the subject of Spanish language at elementary and middle school levels.
I finished the ACT with a composite score of 32, with consistently high sub-scores in the subjects of English and reading. I have taken the ACT numerous times, and have secured a perfect score on the English section multiple times. In addition, I have taken both AP English courses: AP English Language and Composition, and AP English Literature and Composition.
My experience with high school and college level English courses has well prepared me to tutor students in the subjects of spelling and vocabulary at the elementary and middle school level.
Although I am currently a student myself, I am very flexible with scheduling. I have always had a love of language, reading, and learning in general, and I am very excited to share that love with young students, and help nourish it in others, as well. Hi there! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
