Hi! I graduated cum laude from the University of the South with a B.A in history. Currently I am working towards my PhD in history at Auburn University. I specialize in education history, and therefore value the special connection between learning history and a productive learning environment. I am a teaching assistant for around 300 undergraduates per year, so I have plenty of hands-on experience! I am passionate about my subject, but I recognize that oftentimes history can be tricky to learn! I want to help as many students learn to love history the way that I have! As I am in the process of earning my PhD, I welcome any feedback and resources that parents can provide to ensure that I am providing the best service possible!
I am currently working towards my PhD in history, and work as a teaching assistant at a leading research university. Because of my daily interactions with undergraduates, I feel like I can provide engaging and helpful information to help students engage with history curriculum.
I have spent 6 months in an intensive Art History program, traveling to dozens of European counties including Spain, England, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Scotland! In addition, I have completed a Spanish pilgrimage of 300 miles in which I intensely studied Greek and Roman architecture.
I am passionate about history, and I know with the right training you can be too! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
