As a child, I was always interested in science, especially the life sciences. As I grew older, so did those interests. In high school, I enrolled in every possibly science course I could including AP courses. I exceled in these classes and decided to pursue my passion in college.
At Union University, I earned a degree in Biology. Throughout my undergraduate career, I planned on entering medical school. As I approached graduation, however, I decided that I would rather not apply to medical school.
Immediately after graduation, I worked in food manufacturing. I worked to set up lab testing protocols and to train staff on testing procedures, data interpretation, and statistics. Through this experience, I learned that I wanted to pursue a career in education.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
