I have tutored high school math, including geometry and algebra and have taught private piano lessons in past years. I helped two additional daughters that lived with me to get their high school diplomas. I spent over a year helping one young lady from my favorite coffee shop work towards her GED. I love to teach and help others and particularly love elementary age teaching. However, I also enjoy the challenge of middle school curriculum, especially math and grammar. My strength is helping people figure things out that challenge them.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
