My wife and I have decided that Chinese is a language worth pursuing...but neither of us know the language at all. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we ended up in a pre-K Chinese class, taught almost exclusively in Chinese, surrounded by Chinese participants. It was overwhelming...for both Sofia and for us. We knew we needed help. Linda came and worked with Sofia on her homework, but also on general Chinese knowledge (pinging, character writing, etc.).
I feel that the conversation practice has been essential towards developing my confidence in speaking Chinese. Zoe is always very patient with me as I fumble through my broken Chinese, and corrects any grammar or vocabulary issues immediately. I believe that having this feedback loop is critical in avoiding bad speaking habits, so I am really glad that she does this. I also love listening to Zoe's stories from her own life and about Chinese culture.

Yan P has a great grasp of chinese culture and teaches relevant and important words and phrases to assist with learning chinese and the chinese culture. Yan P also assists with recognizing chinese characters and how to write them.
