So I threw out a lot of social psychology theory that I didn't introduce properly, but Rajitha was able to follow along very well and clarified a lot of issues I had with using regression analysis, t tests, and coding dummy variables in SPSS. I now have a better understanding of the techniques I'm using for my thesis, and feel more confident continuing with my analysis. She was on time, which is a HUGE plus for me. I highly recommend.
Thanks for tutoring me on stress, personality psychology, and social psychology, Seyle's general adaptation syndrome, some trait theories of personality psych (like Costa & McCrae's Big Five), heritability, reliability and validity, compliance strategies like the foot-in-the-door and door-in-the-face techniques, Rosenthal and Jacobsen's study on the self-fulfilling prophecy (called Pygmalion in the Classroom), and the difference between stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination.
She is a business professional and does an amazing job at delivering an encouraging learning experience, for my son. 1/8/2014: Tonight was my son's final lesson with Carole before his SSAT, which will be in two days. We feel so fortunate that we had Carole and my son is feeling a lot more confident in his ability to perform well in the exam. couldn't ask for a better tutor!! She genuinely cares about her students and is truly committed and encouraging!!
