4 ADHD lessons
My daughter was really struggling with math and has ADHD so her attention span and organizational skills are a bit to be desired...from the first lesson, Kyle was able to connect well with her, adjust his lesson according to her deficits, and do so in a way which worked well for a child with ADHD. He explained concepts in different ways to ensure she'd understand, he brought his own materials, and worked with tests and homework she had from school. He also worked with her on organization.
We are thrilled as parents to see how well she has benefited from Kristen's tutoring. As a plus, we decided to get our other child included into the tutoring sessions, and he also struggles with ADHD. His organization skills were a mess and he was failing badly in 8th grade Algebra I. He now has excelled so much since the tutoring started, he is heading into the 9th grade this year and being placed in "Advanced Placement" courses. Every single course is AP, with exception to extra-curricular.
Logan enjoyed his first session. He asked if Joe was coming back on the next day and when I said "No, next Sunday" Logan was disappointed. He already feels better about himself and seems motivated. The title to the lesson was Add/ADHD. Logan is has no diagnosis of Add/ADHD. I am looking forward to the next lesson as much as Logan is. Thank you.
