I have extensive experience teaching all levels of Spanish. I have 8 years teaching experience in Spanish in 2 private High Schools, teaching Spanish 1-4 and Dual Credit Spanish and as an Adjunct Professor in Spanish at Texas Wesleyan University. I earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs/Latin American Studies from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and graduated with honors in Spanish at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. Additionally, I attended the Don Quijote Institute of Languages, Guanajuato, Mexico in their Superintensive course.
I enjoy teaching Spanish to all age groups and integrate a variety of techniques to reach the student. I do not simply teach from the book. (That can get boring.) I have a wide variety of materials to aid in the learning process and make learning a foreign language less foreign and intimidating to the student.
