My students unfailingly improve their scores (the average last year was over 80pts).
Furthermore, they don't have to sell their organs to pay for the scores they want! My approach to the GMAT and GRE has invariably improved my students' scores for the last several years. In fact, my most recent GRE student added 130 points to his score after a condensed 5 hour course.
A little bit about the system I use:
First, I make sure to figure out exactly at level the prospective student is scoring. Then, I make sure to use the appropriate materials with that student. For example, if you're scoring in the 20th percentile, we will need to drill you on the fundamentals and go over introductory material, but if you're a person scoring in the 80th percentile, then we just need to dive right into the difficult questions.
Second, I make sure that you understand what good study habits are and I try to get you to stick to them. For example, I make sure that you always do your homework with a stopwatch, that you keep track of what questions you get wrong and redo them, that you study a little every day instead of cramming on the weekends, etc.
Third, I've written thousands of questions that help you understand all the nuances of both of these tests!
A little bit about me:
After graduating from college I decided to go teach English in Europe, mainly because my twin brother suggested it and I had no other plans. Best decision ever. One year of teaching English to kids and adults of all ages was enough and I returned to the US, where I discovered an aptitude for standardized tests, after scoring a 750 on the GMAT and a 1580 on the GRE. As a result, I found myself teaching for a major test preparation company. However, I soon realized that I taught much more effectively using my own curriculum and questions and so I left the company to start tutoring on my own. Many happy students later, here we are!
