I have struggled in subjects before, and I didn't have anyone to help me. With WyzAnt I want to help students not feel stressed or frustrated about school or let it get in the way with what they want to do in the future. I am really good with pre-algebra, and I'm good with elementary to middle school English, science, and geography/social studies. I'm also good with high school English and general help with public speaking, presenting with things like PowerPoint or Excel, and studying. I am good at making flash cards, my friends in my German class are always either studying from them or structuring their note cards off of them. I take pride in my work and want anyone that I help take pride in theirs.

I'm currently a counseling psychology major and the University of Nevada, Reno. I have a minor in business administration that I'm also currently working on. Because of my studies I have a basic knowledge of IS 101 and 201, Accounting 101, Psychology 101 and 240, Core Humanities 201, 202, and 203, and beginner's German and Spanish.

I am a family oriented person with my feet on the ground and my goal in my sight to become a counselor to teens, families and couples with issues including grieving. So to say I get invested in the things I do would be very true to say. I never give up and am determined to get positive results from anyone I help.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Flute

I started taking flute in the fifth grade. I continued in 7th through 8th grade in which I held 1st chair in the beginning class and 3rd chair in the advanced. I was in marching band and the Wind Ensemble all throughout high school. I was section leader in both in both 11th and 12th grade. I currently tutor my friend in flute.

Microsoft Windows

My family has me help them with their computer problems such as cleaning it up, downloading, and general tasks. I've shown many people how to explore a browser, look at the formatting, zoom, bookmarks, history, how to recover a file, how to copy and paste with both the right click and control c/v. I will be able to help anyone with Microsoft Windows.

It's working. — Stephanie has a calm and easy manner that my daughter appreciates. And I do too. But I think the most important thing is that it's working. My daughter is already more confident in math and she's doing better in class. ...
