It is my pleasure to provide personalized American accent English lessons to ESL adults, face-to-face and online. My clients include both international working professionals and graduate school scholars requiring excellent English communication skills. To accomplish this, I reference my Kennesaw State University TESOL certification training, progressive teaching strategies, and scholarly ESL teaching resources. I am currently tutoring or mentoring several international working professionals and graduate students from Brazil, China, Ethiopia, France, Japan, Italy, Korea, Peru, the Philippines, and Spain, either in person or online. I tutor clients enthusiastically and mentor them for life.
I am available to tutor ESL clients during 2 or 3-hour-long lessons between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., daily. Unlike the typical hour-long ESL classroom lectures offered by others, my one-on-one ESL lessons are practical interactive learning experiences. Learn American English vocabulary, idioms, phrasal verbs and word collocations with my positive reinforcement and praise. Mispronunciations are listed, corrected, and revisited until learners have memorized my respectful corrections.
Each ESL lesson plan begins with well-educated American English conversation to exercise, strengthen, and refine every client's English vocabulary, pronunciation, and collocation. Next, a review of the client's recent mispronunciations confirms the efficacy of my past corrections. Finally, each student's lesson plan focuses on their specific English communication priorities. American English conversation, listening comprehension, profile writing, oral presentation evaluation, and telephone English practices are all available. Appropriate textbook exercises, take-home lesson handouts, and online pronunciation resources are demonstrated, during class, to enhance between-lesson learning opportunities.
I am willing to meet clients where they are most comfortable. This is often in their business, condominium, or home office. University students frequently reserve private on-campus study rooms for us to work in. For others, I suggest a public library, coffee house, or online desktop sharing platform. Any safe, comfortable, and quiet setting that has good lighting, Wifi, and electrical access will probably be suitable.
SPECIALTIES: I am a native speaker of standard non-regional American English and a passionate advocate of lifelong learning. My ESL specialties include the modeling and teaching of the standard American accent English pronunciation and eloquent speech practices associated with well-educated North Americans. My intermediate, advanced, and professional development English lessons emphasize the multiple-word thought groups, best known as collocations, that native American English listeners are most familiar with. I often collaborate with my clients to script, proofread, and evaluate the American accent English verbal presentations required of them. Astute ESL graduate school professors call on me to hear, view, and evaluate their PPT supported lectures prior to presenting an edited version to their, potentially critical, students.
My most popular lesson topics include, but are not limited to:
1. American English pronunciation
2. Business English conversation
3. Small talk participation composition
4. Regional accent modification
5. Interview question preparation
6. Oral presentation evaluation
7. Phrasal verb comprehension
8. Medical caregiver and patient consultation
Are you planning a business trip? Let's collaborate to list the English questions you are likely to be asked and practice your best American accent answers. Similarly, we can predict and practice effective telephone English dialogues until you are confident when making and taking calls. When we proofread aloud, edit, and practice delivering your PowerPoint presentations, together, you can expect those public speaking fears to evaporate.
Invitation: Many of the long-term ESL scholars that I assist report huge improvements in their American accent English abilities after meeting with me, weekly, for as little as three months. My clients often validate my respectful dedication to their English communication goals with the excellent reviews and the high lesson ratings included below. I am proud of their accomplishments and grateful for the trust they place in my teaching abilities. I invite you to contact me to discuss your American accent English learning objectives and to schedule your future lessons with me.
BACKGROUND: During the many years that I traveled, studied, and worked abroad in Austria, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hawaii, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Virgin Islands, I became familiar with many of the world's diverse peoples and their unique cultures. I frequently accepted requests to teach American accent English to enthusiastic ESL scholars at every stop. In return, my international students often invited me to dine with their families and friends.
I began tutoring ESL English full-time when I moved to Atlanta, earned my TESOL (teacher of English to speakers of other languages) certification from the Kennasaw State University, and partnered with the well-respected WyzAnt Tutoring team. For me, teaching ESL English is a win-win proposition. While teaching English communications using interesting and light-hearted methods, I deliberately exchange valuable cultural insights with each of my receptive international clients. Please let me know how I can assist you again in the future.
Nathan is a highly effective and caring tutor. I used to be his student for three months to improve my spoken English. This review seems to be long overdue since our last class was three months ago. But to me the timing is just right. I am not a fast language learner, especially when it comes to oral communication and public speaking. It took me a good time to comprehend the reading material and learning philosophy Nathan provided in the class. Now I must say they are really helpful! Thanks to the techniques and knowledge from the tutoring, I am able to make progress at a decent speed. So far I feel at ease talking with native speakers and sometimes even pick up new phrases. Nathan, thank you so much for helping me get on the right track!
Nathan is a very patient tutor. I am living pretty far and he always tries to accommodate my schedule and place to study. He helps me in improving oral speaking, accent and preparing interviews, resumes etc. He is so knowledgeable of everything and always love to share with me some good books and tips. After getting help from him, I found my accounting job!!! Thank you!~
If you can, try to keep learning from him. After busy season, I will get back to study with him~If you are shy, if you have difficulty in English, career development, contact Nathan!
Nathan is a very patient person. He is really well prepared and willing to share his knowledge and time with his students. I learned so much from him.
Your unexpected praise warms my heart, Annamaria. Assisting an international graduate school instructor of your caliber with her American accent English pronunciation is especially challenging and deeply gratifying. Thank you for your praise and ongoing encouragement.
Nathan G. has been a huge help in my college career. We have had some intense moments working tirelessly on assignments. I admit, that I am not the best student and can be confusing sometimes. But Nathan stuck with it and worked with me every step of the way to help me in my goals. I will always be thankful to him and I highly recommend anyone for his services.
Thank you for your positive feedback, Joshua. You are on a demanding career path to become one of America's finest National Park Rangers. It has been an especially rewarding experience for me to help you achieve your scholastic goals. Respectfully, Nathan G.
I started to hire a tutor because I felt I have little chance to speak English even though I am doing my graduate program. When I talk with my classmates, the conversation is either not a good practice because my classmates do not correct me if I misspeak. Then I found Nathan. He provides a lot of great suggestions for my spoken English, especially in the following aspects.
**Choice of words- As an ESL speaker, I sometimes use impolite or awkward words I am not aware of. Nathan is a sensitive listener. He corrects me and gives appropriate suggestions of choosing words.
**Fluency of sentences- Nathan always listens to me carefully. He will point out what I miss in a sentence and encourages me to practice the complete sentence again.
**Perfect example of English speaker- Nathan's accent is the so-called standard American English accent. He always speaks as a gentleman and teaches me to speak in a polite manner. He also speaks in a well-organized way that I can understand everything he tells me.
**Selection of materials- the materials that Nathan selects are very helpful and interesting. For example, the book of phrasal verbs provides daily-life verbs and good exercises. The podcast is a wonderful practice of listening and speaking.
Nathan is always well-prepared before we meet. We have a schedule for every class and he never rushes to finish the class just because the time is up. Overall, he is definitely an excellent tutor and I will keep learning English with him!
Thank you for your detailed evaluation of my ESL lessons and qualifications, Paddy. I depend on your forthright feedback to reinforce my ESL lessons. I am extremely pleased with the huge improvements I have witnessed in your English language skills. Respectfully,
Nathan is the best ESL tutor I have met. I really enjoy studying with Nathan. His proficiency in American English deeply impresses me. Moreover, his enthusiasm and meticulousness inspires me many interests in improving my accent. Even I can gain unexpected knowledge for each time due to Nathan's scholarly comprehension in English and well communication with each other. Classes keep going and I truly appreciate Nathan's help! I trust he can help improve my English approaching the native.
It is my pleasure to collaborate with Yiming on his English communication objectives. He has progressed rapidly using the dedicated lesson resources that I have prescribed for him in conjunction with our weekly lessons. I am especially pleased to hear that the internship interview preparation we did together helped him secure a very impressive professional internship. Congratulations, Yiming!
I began working with Nathan since I started my PhD program this August. Nathan has helped me tremendously in coping with the language challenges I faced in the program. He is knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. Working with him is a pleasant experience, because he is very passionate about teaching and really cares about his student. I would definitely recommend him to other international students who want to improve their oral English and writing skills.
Di has developed an engaging English presentation style during the many months we have been working together. We continue to collaborate on her American accent English pronunciation, intonation, and Phrasal Verb vocabulary to reduce any miscommunication. Di's determination to refine her English language skills has contributed to her earning a coveted fresh opportunity in a second prestigious PhD program this coming year. Thanks for your kind review, Di.
Nathan helped me work on my pronunciation and writing for more than two months. He is very helpful and patient. Studying with him like exploring in a journey. You will never know what you will learn in the next second. I enjoy the courses offered by him. He is also very professional. He always recommends good learning materials to me, which are very useful for my future study.
It continues to be extremely rewarding for me to tutor PhD degree aspirant, Youyou. To her credit, Youyou's American accent English presentation skills have improved much faster than I had initially hoped. She is blessed with learning abilities that accelerate her native Chinese accent reduction capacity. Thank you, Youyou, for your thoughtful review of my ongoing lessons this past year.
I couldn't have found any other teacher better than him. He really understands his students need. He worked with me for my TOEFL test practice and also for my dental school interview practice. I highly recommend him to any non-native speakers who wants to improve their communication skills.
I am very proud to congratulate Rokhsareh on her recent acceptance by both of the American dental PhD graduate programs to which she applied. We collaborated to prepare her American accent English verbal presentation skills before she took the daunting TOEFL exam and again just before she interviewed at the two dental graduate schools she preferred. We worked together until she felt thoroughly prepared to confidently respond to any question put to her. I expect Rokhsareh to excel at whichever dental school she ultimately chooses.
I have been working with Mr. G for the past three months and am very pleased with his unique combination of knowledge, wisdom and tutoring skills. He is very patient and always encouraging. With his tutoring, I have made a huge improvement in my American accent English pronunciation abilities. I recommend him, highly, to all of the other struggling ESL students in Cobb County. Thank you, Mr. G.
Lan's case is a great example of the rapid American accent English progress that can be made with my private ESL tutoring. With her greatly enhanced English language speaking skills, Lan was quickly hired away from her old company to take on a more lucrative medical research position. Congratulations, Lan!
Mr. Nathan helped me with my clinical paper for nursing school. We met for two hours. The short time spent with Mr. Nathan, I found him to be patient, good listener, approachable, and a good team player. He was well dressed, articulate, and always ready with a smile and a kind word. He has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, reliable and computer literate. I am confident that Mr. Nathan will be an asset to any staff that he works with.
Thanks for your gracious review, Salamat. I look forward to proofreading your writing, again, as you work towards your master's degree.

Excellent tutor & very patient!!
I am pleased to acknowledge the consistent English communications and grammar progress that I have witnessed while tutoring Genevieve during the past two years. I have observed Genevieve's ESL confidence, pronunciation, and writing skills improve to the Master's degree level along with her university class grades. Bravo Genevieve!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Learning to play chess is not difficult, but winning chess games often is. I guide enthusiastic learners through their first educational chess games to reveal their new-found potential. We will use tournament chess pieces and a game board that displays the algebraic notation needed for our post-game analysis. We will compare the best chess game openings and examine common opening traps. Middlegame strategies, tactics, and maneuvers need to be carefully considered. Endgame opportunities must be recognized to successfully checkmate the opposing king.
I am available between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., daily, for 2-hour private chess lessons at your preferred location. With regular lessons, practice, and dedication, I guide beginning chess players to the advanced beginner level and beyond. I teach Chess Basics and the Official Rules of Chess using well-regarded books, lesson handouts, and learning assessment quizzes. You are invited to contact me directly to arrange for your future lessons.
Background: I come from a large chess-playing family. As youngsters, we were each encouraged to play board games together after family gatherings rather than watching television. Each school-aged child was taught chess and occasionally invited to play with the adults. Whenever it was raining outside, we thoroughly enjoyed playing chess with each other, inside. During long trips by car or by plane, we frequently played chess using a magnetic chess board. We became better chess players by teaching each other the official rules, player etiquette, and sportsmanlike behavior.
It is noteworthy, that today's game of chess has an international history stretching back nearly 2000 years to its early development in India and Asia. Currently, the World Chess Federation (FIDE) sanctions over forty official championships, annually, for international youngsters, men, women, and seniors.

I began teaching English to speakers of other languages during the many years that I traveled, studied, and worked overseas in Austria, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hawaii, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Switzerland, Thailand, Vietnam, as well as many of the Caribbean Islands. What started as a great way to make friends while learning each other's language has evolved, with formal education, dedication, and experience, into my sole vocation.
I teach individual ESL clients, the standard non-regional American English communication skills required in the world's leading universities. For example, two or more of my clients are usually in the process of earning graduate degrees from Atlanta's finest institutions. I, also, cater to many of Atlanta's international working professionals who use my ESL services to communicate effectively in the American-English-speaking global marketplace. My most advanced American accent English clients have collaborated with me, continuously, for two or more years regarding corporate management projects of every description. Other clients are, typically, responding in English to employee evaluations, legal team research, or in peer revue journal submissions. We meet every week to refine and practice the written and oral English presentations required of them.
My advanced TESOL instructor credentials were awarded by Kennesaw State University. I actively network with influential TESOL certified teachers from around the world to constantly update my ESL teaching skills and materials.
Many of the ESL graduate school students and working professionals that I assist are expected to engage in American accent English discussions, offer verbal explanations, introduce visiting clients, and narrate PowerPoint presentations. I provide the American accent English pronunciation and elocution skills that speakers of other languages want when creating and delivering oral presentations. I frequently collaborate with my students to draft, proofread, and practice their presentations. I am asked to articulate Standard American accent English examples during practice. I provide the constructive evaluations needed for a confident English presentation. Thank you for your interest in my English tutoring services.
I routinely provide the speech evaluations and respectful suggestions that working professionals and graduate school students need when preparing their verbal presentations. I assist my clients to clearly articulate the eloquent American accent English intonation that they desire to advance their careers.
I collaborate with clients to optimize their verbal presentations through the deliberate use of speech articulation, stress, pacing, and emphasis. My goal is to guide my ESL scholars toward increasingly clear, fluid, and coherent discourse.
I often assist my clients with their pronunciation, vocabulary, and accent challenges. Toward that end, I routinely model the Standard non-regional American accent English generally associated with well-educated North Americans. I carefully enunciate my words using the slow careful speech and accurate American accent English syllable stress that does not require undue listener effort.
I regularly resource my Kennasaw University TESOL certification, professional tutoring experience, and scholarly English language reference book collection. My ESL students report increased confidence in their verbal presentations, successful job interview outcomes, and high coursework marks. My clients also praise my efforts in positive tutor reviews and with high lesson ratings. They credit me with the huge improvements and compliments they experience in regards to their American accent English language skills. Thank you for considering my qualifications.
