I have over 30 years of experience as a tutor and lecturer in mathematics and physics, both before and after I completed my physics PhD at the University of Illinois. I like tutoring so much that I started doing it as a sophomore in college and have been doing it ever since. I am available for tutoring at middle school, high school, and college levels.
My students feel comfortable telling me what they didn't get in class in school or from their textbook, and so we are able to address those issues right away. I like to first establish the knowledge base of my student. We then work together to build on it, with lots of practice, to expand knowledge and mastery. Pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, analytic (e.g., Cartesian) geometry, calculus, simple differential equations, matrices; classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, elementary atomic and quantum physics. I teach as far north as Burlingame and as far south as San Carlos.
