Rebecca is an excellent teacher and we are fortunate to have discovered her through WyzAnt. After two problematic years in junior high school math our 13 yr old son needed assistance with algebra I. Rebecca took the time to research our son's math background, the books used at his junior high school, and developed a very comprehensive plan for this summer's tutelage. Rebecca has a pleasant, direct teaching style; she communicates beautifully, finding the fine balance between professional teacher and gentle voiced, encouraging coach. Our son no longer feels frustrated and feels a sense of pride when he completes his homework efficiently and correctly.

Rebecca is very experienced with different types of math. She will help thoroughly explain concepts, and show you step by step how a problem is done. She is patient and kind. After my daughter had a few lessons with her, she has shown improvement in her math homework and tests. She got 100% on her math final, hooray.

Rebecca is an incredible tutor/teacher. She not only does the "math" but she identifies how the student is emotionally or otherwise dealing with the subject (in this case math). She tailors her instruction to maximize what the student learns during the tutoring sessions. My son has learning issues specifically with math yet he wants to major in engineering. Rebecca not only worked hard to give him the skills to work through math problems in general but also supported and encouraged him to try engineering.
My son has had many tutors over the years but Rebeca's the best!!!

We hired Rebecca to work weekly with 2 of our kids throughout the entire school year: one child in AP-Calculus (to fill in the gaps from the public school system and to ensure good AP test scores) and the other child in Algebra 1 (because he struggled with pre-Algebra last year). Finding a tutor who was so skilled in such different areas of math was a treasure. She was able to work with our kids’ different learning styles & personalities. Rebecca has a brilliant mind for math; it is obvious that she loves sharing her knowledge with her pupils. Rebecca spent her own time to bookmark our kids’ math teacher websites, enabling her to know ahead of time when tests were approaching and what subjects were being taught next. She was punctual, reliable, and easy to get a hold of, flexible during holidays and always ready to add an extra session before a big test if we needed it.

Rebecca continues to be an amazing teacher. Since my daughter restarted school, Rebecca regularly inquires as to her learning status in school, trying to anticipate her learning needs and re-appraising her status as to what she did not understand at every meeting. Rebecca has not just confined her teaching to the lessons themselves but cares enough to follow up with emails sent late at night and even on the weekends, trying to handle issues we might have. She is such a caring individual and I cannot say enough positive things about her. I am very glad that she is our daughter's tutor.

I happen to do an internet search for “math help” and found Wyzant and found Rebecca. Rebecca helped me better understand Algebra 2 in just about two weeks time.

Hi -- Rebecca helped our daughter Kate with PreCal. Kate's teacher didn't really teach the subject so she needed someone to help fill in the many gaps. Rebecca was always prepared in advance for the lessons, patient, and very good at explaining the various concepts and formulas. Kate has had several other tutors in PreCal, I would say if you need a PreCal tutor, contact Rebecca!
