About

I graduated in August 2007 with a double degree in Physiology and Honors English. As a student, I worked at University of Washington's English Writing Center for nearly three years, where I helped students one-on-one with their writing skills. As a private tutor, I've also helped a number of students improve their skills in grammar, composition, and literary analysis.
My ethos of tutoring is that the tutor should tailor her style and curriculum to accommodate the student's needs, not vice versa. I'm passionate about taking full advantage of the one-on-one situation by constructing a curriculum that is tailored to meet your unique needs and interests.
Clear and frequent communication will be key to the success of our partnership. From you, the student, I request that you give me frequent feedback so I can adjust my approach and curriculum to better accommodate you. As for me, I have much experience in answering questions and formulating explanations, and look forward to doing both for you. As a team, I believe we can optimize the efficiency of your progress--and also have a lot of fun in the process.
