As an international Graduate Student at Cal Poly, I had to overcome several challenging situations when coming to a new environment, all the way from Peru. I understand what people go through when learning a new language and do know what's important to get to know as well as how to be able to communicate successfully.
My tutoring experience began in 2000 when was asked to help two american students in Peru as an Spanish teacher assistant. At that time I was learning English and my first experience turned out double-purposing, as I also learned from them. Shortly thereafter, I decided to come to the US and start this fascinating experience of teaching-learning including all levels while preparing for a Master's Program.
I can guarantee that my students are not only confident with their writing and speaking skills but also an adventure that will enable them to have a precious asset, a new language.
