Currently, reviews federal agencies for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act requirements. Documents reviewed include Environmental Impact Statements and Assessments. Write coment letters advising the agencies on what to do to comply with the requirement.
For 3 years, worked for Washington State University Community Service Center coordinating the environmental action program and engaging in tutoring students in local schools.
For 6 years, tutored Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) diverse students in information technology use. Helped the students to access and use the college computing resources, including course specific software packages and Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Assisted both the college faculty and students in using a variety of computer applications available in the college’s Computer Instructional Laboratory. Participate in computer network troubleshooting, and maintenance and installation of computer hardware and software. Worked as part of the laboratory staff team to perform a variety of other functions related to daily faculty and student use of the laboratory.
For 2 years, administered a Windows 2000 Active Directory Local Area Network of windows 2000 servers and XP workstations. Supported over 500 local and international student users of the Graduate and Professional Student Study Center. Technically advised a multiracial team of the graduate student computer laboratory monitors in the center. Liaisoned between suppliers of computer resources, university Active Directory Team and security and IT services, and the Graduate and Professional Student Association. Acted as technical consultant for the center clients. Resolved networking problems, installed, and maintained computer hardware and software.
Assisted in teaching Introduction to Natural Resource Management and Renewable Natural Resources courses on- and off-campus. Maintained student records, evaluated their assignments, and provided them with feedback. The students came from diverse racial, gender, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
Fluent in English, French, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, and Swahili. Understands some Spanish, Kikuyu, and Welsh.
