  I am a fully licensed teacher new to Oregon with a Single Subject California Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Education; more importantly, I have a deep passion for teaching. I have more than a year's worth of teaching experience teaching English Language Development (ESL): as a student teacher, I successfully taught by myself an entire year's worth of curriculum in both the high school and junior high settings. I have Bachelor's Degrees in both English and Spanish Literature, and have been studying the Spanish Language for 9 years. I recently achieved my teaching credential with an additional bilingual certification to teach Spanish (BCLAD). In addition to the academic study of Spanish, I have utilized my Spanish language skills in numerous real world settings. Recently I studied abroad at a university in Madrid, Spain, and lived with a host family for 6 months. I also have significant experience speaking Spanish in the public school classroom setting, including conducting parent-teacher conferences and aiding in overall language translation. I have utilized the computer in high school to research and write papers, expanded my mathematical knowledge on Excel, and made extensive use of the internet to supplement my college education. The power of the computer has interested me since childhood: no other machine allows you to accomplish so much with regards to calculations, recreation, and the exchange of information. Software has changed dramatically over the years, and I have been able to keep up with the newest technology by continually researching the best that the technological world has to offer.
