elementary (k-6th) I have been a teacher of Special Education in Public School settings. Much of my experience included collaborated with teachers of General education to include students with special needs in the general education settings. My responsibility was to accomodate these students and adapt the general education curriculum to fit a particular students needs. I am also a parent and grandparent and spend a great deal of time assited my childen and others with homework and other learning activities. I worked for awhile in a after school program assisting students with homework and providing enrichment activites for those at risk or in need of this programming. ESL/ESOL I have been a teacher of Special Education in Public School settings. Much of my experience included collaborated with teachers of General education to include students with special needs in the general education settings. My responsibility was to accomodate these students and adapt the general education curriculum to fit a particular students needs. I have worked with children with englis as a second language in this setting. I also have tutored families brought over to the United States from war torn countries through the church programs sponsoring them.. general computer I have general computer knowledge from early years to current day, including course work taken specifically for teaching young students. I was part of the technology committee in the school district I worked for and helped bring the elementary schools up to date with access to hardware and software within each of the schools. I studied at Purdue University for a special program to enhance learning for persons with communication needs. This incuded adapted computers to each persons specific disability. grammar I have been a teacher of Special Education in Public School settings. I spend a great deal of time preparing materials for language arts and similar subjects, including grammar, reading, vocabulary, and literature. Some of the material I used included phonics skills for primary grades in the elementary schools. I also worked for awhile in a after school program assisting students with homework and providing enrichment activites for those at risk or in need of this programming. powerpoint I have done many presentations with powerpoint in graduate skill and as a teacher in public schools, I enrolled in courses that advanced my knowledge of several programs available on computers which enhanced learning and presentations. special needs I have been a teacher of Special Education in Public School settings. I developed a program for students at risk and in need of additional support in preparing for ISTEP. While teaching at the middle school level I was chosen to facilitate a test taking skills program.
