I am a natural teacher and have been told so all my life. Patient and versed in many ways to communicate an idea, I have always been sought to help another understand and reach their own solutions. Learning cannot happen by handing an answer to one who seeks. It occurs by discovering the path and process with help, so that the student can find, and find again, the answers sought.
I have tutored as student, lead study groups, been repeatedly requested as substitute teacher. Experience over years of working with many different aged students, some who convinced themselves they were incapable. They were not. Learning is lifelong- sometimes difficult and sometimes easy. It seems easier when there is a willing partner at hand.
