Hello! First, let me to thank you for certifying me in Korean language. Now I would like to request for certification in ESL. Here are the reasons why I think I am qualified in this field and can be an excellent tutor of English as the second language:
1) I myself went through the complicated process of learning English as the second language. I started learning it in the third grade of elementary school, kept learning it through the high school and then entered the University where English language was my major during 5 years. I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor Degree in English (and also Korean language) and with a diploma with honors. Among my subjects in the University were English phonetics, English grammar, English vocabulary studying, conversational English, business English, home reading in English, English written skills and many other relevant disciplines. Such a profound training allowed me not only to speak and understand English but also know this language form the linguistic point of view. Since I myself have gone through the learning process I know how to help other people to learn it more effectively.
2) I have necessary teaching experience. I have been a tutor of English language for 5 years already. Many of my students successfully passed TOEFL exams. I have been tutoring on individual basis and in groups and dealt with students who had different level of English proficiency - from zero knowledge to advanced level - and I was capable to help them all. For half a year I volunteered at the University teaching English students who were majoring in technical specialties. That activity allowed me to come up with some techniques of teaching students who are not capable in languages and require much more of teacher's efforts. For five years of my tutoring experience I have collected valuable material which is extremely useful in teaching someone English.
3)Together with tutoring I was doing interpreting and translating job. I worked for the department of international relations in the University, and among my duties there was supervising exchange students and helping them in their studies. My experience as an interpreter gave me expanded English vocabulary, familiarity with American culture and confidence as an English-speaker. Interpreting and teaching are interrelated in many aspects: when you know how to interpret, you know how to explain. And the ability to give a clear, detailed explanation is what you need first as a teacher.
4) I myself have moved to America and I know how difficult it is to change the country of living, so I am sure I will be able to help new arrived people not only to master their English language skills but also to get used to a new culture.
5) Among my students I used to have Russians, Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexicans, so I can say that I have excellent intercultural communication skills and nationality of my students doesn't matter for me.
I hope that you'll find me well-qualified in English language and I am looking forward to helping a lot of people in their studies. Thank you once again for your time.
Truly yours,
Dina Mozhaeva

Hello!
Please consider this letter as a request to certify me in Korean language. I feel confident that you will find me well qualified.

4)01.2004-05.2005 Far-Eastern National University, Korean Educational Center, Courses of Korean Language: intermediate level, advanced level 1, advanced level 2. Certificates (Russia)
MY RELATIVE WORK EXPERIENCE
1)I have been working as a Korean language tutor for 5 years now (2003-2008)and have had a lot of students. I teach conversational Korean language together with writing, reading and understanding skills. In my work as a tutor I use textbooks, schemes, educational computer programs, audio tapes and other materials. I have experience of working with different age groups and various nationalities (Americans, Russians, Chinese, Vietnamese and others). Back to Russia I used to work as a contractor for one tuition agency and I enjoyed that experience very much.
2) At the same time with working as a tutor I used to work as an interpreter between Russian, Korean and English languages. That experience contributed a lot into my Korean language skills and allowed to learn much about Korean people and Korean culture. It seems to me that it is very important to use information about the country while teaching someone this country's language, since it makes people interested and works as a perfect motivation.
And the last but not the least is that I have a lot of friends who are native Koreans and who have taught and keep teaching me some facts about their every-day language which can not be found in any textbook in the world. I believe that this unique experience is extremely useful for my students because it helps them to start communicating at the same level as native speakers do.
Thank you very much for your time. I appreciate it a lot and look forward to fruitful cooperation with your team.
Sincerely,
Dina Mozhaeva
