I'm glad you have chosen to look at my profile because I love teaching and want to do as much of it as possible.

I have taught both elementary and high school. For elementary student I was responsible for teaching World History, American History, Arithmetic, and Civics. At the hight school level I taught English and Earth Science, and tutored in Chemistry, Political Science, and Math to special needs students.

I have Bachelor's degrees in both History and Philosophy & Religious studies. I am currently studying Latin, which I will finish in the next quarter. Soon I plan to go to graduate school to study history and foreign languages.

My tutoring style is based on individual need and capability. The student's capacity must be met, then improved through study skills, organization, preparedness, and above all, willingness. Willingness is usually accomplished through the student gaining academic success-- the very object of tutoring.

• Bible studies

  I have a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, and continue to read and study various religious texts. Also, I grew up being taught the Bible by my parents. Thus, I have been exposed to the study of the Bible all of my life. I have also studied many passages of the Bible in Latin, especially the translation rendered by St. Jerome. Many passages are still noted by their Latin names (ex: "De Profundis," "Quo Vadis") This is complemented by my ownership of both the Oxford New Revised Standard Version with Apochrypha and the King James Bible. The former is good for study, the latter for 16th century English poetry.

  I taught 5th grade history and 6th grade math and history at a private academy in Virginia. I also offered tutoring in each subject for both grades to students who needed it. Resume available upon request.
