About
Ray: |
|
My undergraduate degree from Lehigh University is in mathematics. I taught college algebra at a community college. They were large classes but afforded me the opportunity to assist students one on one with questions and homework assignments. As a result of this experience, I've always dreamed of returning to teaching as my career in industry comes to a close. Well, that time is now. I want my love of math to be contagious.
I've been a manager with the same telecomm company for over 35 years. While working in the business world, I've become proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. I've been able to teach my peers, formally and informally, on the use of these important tools. Feedback from my peers shows that I was able to deliver concepts in down-to-earth terms.
While working full time, I went to graduate school during the evenings to earn my Master of Business Administration degree. On the recommendation of my professors, I was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honor Society for Business.
My vision is to challenge and assist a student to a new level of comfort, expertise and appreciation for math. |

Student Reviews:
Excellent tutor!
Ray is a very patient and thorough tutor. He sincerely cares about the student and makes himself available to fit our ever-changing schedule. He has been able to show the 'why' that the teacher has not, renewing our daughter's confidence in her abilities. Ray has helped us through Honors Algebra II and we will continue with him through next year's math. We highly recommend this tutor.
