Learn More About Mark's Experience:

bass guitar I have been playing the electric bass guitar for over ten years. I have played in bands with sounds that range from bluegrass to reggae, rock and roll to R&B. I have a solid understanding of music theory (scales, modes, time signatures etc.) and I have a talent in extending this knowledge in a fun and exciting way. Also versatile in slap and thump techniques. I want others to share my love of the bass, and this is an excellent opportunity for me to do that. rowing In the summer of 1999, I attended a "learn to row" clinic with the Virginia Boat Club, and immediately fell in love with the sport of rowing. When the clinic ended, I had a thirst for more. Luckily, I was a student of the aptly named James River High School, situated on the banks of its namesake. We did not have a crew team then, but thanks to the efforts of a few eager students, myself included, we launched what is now - almost 10 years later - a full fledged varsity rowing team. I rowed competitively for 3 years at James River until graduation in 2002. The following fall I enrolled at VCU, and rowed competitively for the university. During my time on VCU crew, I spent two seasons as the men's captain. I am an experienced and knowledgeable candidate for a coaching position.
