I have had several years of working with students who have English as a Second Language. The students have come from several Spanish speaking areas (Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador), as well as Lebanon, Burma, Portugal, and Hong Kong. I believe there is a strong relationship between successful English writing and speaking skills. Practice with grammar, fluency, sentence structure and vocabulary will be highlighted. The student and I will use the work they are doing in their job, school and personal life so that there will be connections and daily use opportunities. I always use atience and a supportive attitude when working with the students.
