About Leon:

I live in Philadelphia and am a recent graduate of Temple Universities College of Music. Now that I am out of school I am enjoying my life as a professional musician. I mainly perform jazz but I am proficient in all styles. I am also comfortable performing and teaching on either upright or electric bass. I currently have a handful of private students as well as staff positions at Philadelphia's Settlement music school, and the soundstage school of music in Oreland PA. If you would like to learn bass, or anything about general music theory I'd love to help you out.

Bass guitar was actually my first instrument. I have been playing for about 10 years now, and I have since added the upright bass. I completed my university studies at Temple last spring. Now I make my living playing in Philadelphia's jazz venues with some of the best musicians around. I also currently have a small studio of private students who study both upright and electric basses. I also feel comfortable teaching styles other than jazz. It just so happens that most of my performing opportunities are in the jazz field.
