I attended high school at Albany Academy where my GPA was a 4.0. I was also major of the batallion there, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a student. I attended Stanford University for my college education, where I majored in economics. I also excelled in baseball while attending Stanford and was named honorable mention to the all Pac-10 team. I was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization to play professional baseball.
Since leaving the world of baseball, I have focused my efforts to not only the highest achievement of success in my own life, but in the lives of today's youth also. Music and business are both passions of mine as well. At one point, I released a demo CD of music that I wrote and performed, both instrumentally and vocally. Also, I find great enjoyment in studying, analyzing and trading the stock market.
Almost a year ago, I realized that I had a passion for and the gift of tutoring children. I have been working as a youth advocate/tutor in Schenectady county for several months and I have presided over various church youth groups for several years, most notably the music department.
My teaching style is one that exudes an enthusiasm for education. I try to use everyday life and the natural concepts that kids are more familiar with to help them relate to foreign educational concepts. In tandem with sharpening a youth's academic sword, I believe in placing the same emphasis on strengthening those ideals that help to make the youth a better person.
