I enjoy helping others in the area of tutoring. I am a graduate student at Iowa State University where I have taught Race and Ethnic relations, sex and gender in society, and sociological research methods. I am just completing my thesis work for my master's degree in Sociology. My thesis concerns religion, so I am extremely well versed in religion and bible studies. I graduated high school in 2001, and went on to college. I then obtained a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminal justice with a minor in woman's studies and social work in 2004. I took a few years off of school and began my graduate school career in 2006.
My teaching style is to start with general questions, and work with my students from there. I tend to stay on a topic until the students understand it before I will move on with the material. I am patient and work well with others. I know a variety of subjects and convey my knowledge in a cooperative way with my students.

  I find the bible to be an interesting as well as a very complex piece of work. I have studied the historical context of the bible as well as the specific authors of the text in order to better understand the message within. My thesis work for my master's degree analyzes the bible to understand conceptualizations of God i.e. God images. I have devoted my life's work to the bible and the study of religion. I am well versed in all areas concerning the bible having read over 400+ articles, journals, and books devoted to the subject.

  I enjoy learning about religion and have chosen the area of religion to be my life's work. I am currently researching God images for my thesis work in Sociology. I have read many articles, books, and journals on the subject and am well versed. Authors I have read include Barth, Nielson, Berger, Durkheim, Armstrong, and Roof to name a few. I am a firm believer in a person never knowing everything at one time, therefore, I read and research everything I can on religion and corresponding topics. I have taken classes on religion that include Jesus, religious ethics, and attended a seminary class devoted to the new testament of the bible. I have also been to Thailand to learn about budhism. I have studied the rise of christianity and the clevaging of the religion in the dark ages, and am specializing in Evangelical lutheranism and fundamental protestantism.
