Since as far back as I can remember, my parents exposed me to an excellent educational environment. I attended private school for eight years, and by the time I was ready for high school, I was already considered to be a college-level student. I was reading novels by Joyce and Nabokov by tenth grade, and became a lover of Yeats's poetry by the time I was a senior. After making A's through high school and scoring a staggering 99 percentile on the so called "Freshman English test," I was awarded a scholarship that has paid out over $65,000 at Lenoir-Rhyne College, one of North Carolina's best private colleges. I received this scholarship in part because of my grades, and in part because of my strong essay submission that I included with my college application. I have studied English, Philosophy, and Religion vigorously at Lenoir-Rhyne, and upon graduation in December, I plan to teach high-school while working on my Masters and Doctorate degrees. Above all, the study of poetry is my expertise. I should have no problem helping students discover their true potential in English, for I have found that most students scoring poorly in English do so because they have not been taught the proper mechanics of reading and writing. My expertise will help any student K through college senior. Additionally, I train to become a bodybuilder in my spare time, and I would be happy to provide men or women who are looking for a better physique the information and determination they need to succeed.
