About

As a professional editor and summa cum laude college graduate, I have the knowledge to help you become a better writer and improve your essays, research papers and general writing in all subjects. I can help you see the big picture, from planning and researching your assignment, to the little details, such as proofreading for grammar or aiding you in organization of ideas.
In college, I tutored freshman English students for two years and helped them develop the foundations of good reading and writing skills to carry on throughout their college careers. I can help you do the same.
I graduated from college in 2005 and have since been employed as a newspaper editor, so I am also very familiar with Associated Press Style. Now, I work in the Communications and Community Relations field as a writer/editor for many publications, including brochures, newsletters, web sites and more. I will help you learn to look for common mistakes and begin to understand the complicated rules of the English language so you can grow as a writer.
I am friendly, patient and want you to succeed. I look forward to working with students from elementary level all the way through college by creating individualized plans and focusing on the areas that matter most to you.
I prefer to meet at a Howard County Library for tutoring sessions.
Thanks for reading my profile, and I look forward to tutoring you! |
