ACT I would like permission to be certified to tutor for the ACT. I took the ACT as my college entrance exam almost eighteen years ago now, and I believe I earned a 28 out of 30. I plan to re-take the test at a local center so that I can be certified with them; they require a grade in the 90th percentile in order to be certified. I am quite proficient in the core subjects, especially English, in which I hold a master's degree. elementary (k-6th) I would like to obtain permission for certification in this area. Although I have concentrated mostly on high school students and am certified as a high school English teacher, I have been a teacher's aide in a K-12 school and I work with young children in my church in Sunday School, Junior Church, and in seasonal musicals that I direct. GED I would like to have permission to be certified in tutoring for the GED. I currently have a book concerning the GED, which I plan to study so that I will be more prepared to tutor students for this test. I am a recent master's graduate in English, and I am very proficient in the other core subjects, and especially in math. grammar I would like permission to be certified in grammar. I have recently completed my master's degree in English, and I have been consistently referred to as "the grammar expert" both in college and in the schools were I have taught.
