I have tutored for the past ten years and have demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and direct
students in a home schooling program, grades K-12, in Mathematics,
Science, English, History, and French.
Evaluated students and assigned grades based upon
performance on assessments, homework completion, and
laboratory reports.
Followed curriculum standards as outlined in the
Georgia Quality Core Curriculum and incorporated kinesthetic learning stations in the classroom.
Maintained communication with parents to ensure
academic success.
Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and direct
students in grades 9-12 in the science disciplines of chemistry,
and biology (general and modified ESL).
Developed curriculum for each aforementioned subject
based on student population.
Utilized and demonstrated proper use of laboratory
apparatus; correlated laboratory experiments with
lecture material.
Advised seven students per academic year, including
mediating and facilitating communication among
parents, teachers, and administrators, when
applicable.
Taught students with varied intellectual abilities
and/or disabilities, or developmental disabilities, such as
LD, ADD, ADHD, autism, and Asperger syndrome.
I have an undergraduate degree in Professional and Technical Communications and have one more course to complete my masters in Secondary and Adult Education. |
