About Sokmuy:

My name is Sokmuy and I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. I have a bachelors degree in biology and hope to obtain a masters in public health in the next few years. I also have a minor in Southeast Asian studies and have studied abroad during my college career.

I love working with people of all ages especially children and believe myself to be a very patient and caring individual. I take great care to make sure the things I am doing are done correctly.

I enjoyed tutoring during my high school career and found great satisfaction in helping others. I have been both a private tutor as well as a group tutor for my high school’s after school program.

My tutoring technique often depend on the needs of the student. However, I do consider repetition in lessons to be very important to a student’s overall learning experience. I believe that the more a student is exposed to something, the more likely they are to absorb what is being taught to them. I also believe that learning the basics in any subject is the key to understanding and mastering that subject.
