drawing I love to teach drawing for the age group of 3-10 years and I use various creative techniques for them to get their drawing clear. I start with basic line sketching and then teach the advanced forms of using crayon and water colors. I do not induce my imagination on kids to draw, as i believe kids are much more imaginative then us and they can express it much better with drawing. This also helps me to understand what is going within the kids mind and what are his/her interest. Based on that I do share some of my thoughts with parents as to what career their kid will be interested in pursuing ? Drawing not only helps kids to be patient,imaginative and creative but also helps them to think out of the box and helps in growing their vision for life. elementary (k-6th) Altough I love teaching and have taught students from Kinder Garden to Post Graduate classes, but I prefer and enjoy more with kids. It is a great pleasure to teach them the basics and make them understand using various creative techniques. I call it as "placing the Roots,right " , as it is very important for kids to get their basic clear which helps them to understand easily and use it when they move to higher grades. I focus more on practical teaching (using experiments) rather than giving them bookish knowledge, which in a way helps but kids cant keep it long in their mind. I have handled a class of 25 elementary students for 6 motnhs when I was preparing for my MBA. general computer I have been studying computer since 1987 in schools. I have learnt many languages like dbase, wordstar, oracle 7.i,visual Basic 6.0 , Mysql, PLSQL, C, C++, Java etc. Apart from these I have also studied Computer architecture and computer networking as a part of course curriculum in Bachelor of Technology. I have written programs for 8085 processors. While I was in my Post Graduation I learnt advanced computer Networking and worked on DOS and Linux. GRE I have taught GRE to students while I was myself preparing for my MBA. What intrest's me about GRE is the concepts which we studied in middle schools are being asked again, the questions which earlier I found difficult in middle school, looks so easy now, but the only challenge now is speed and accuracy. I prefer Vedic Maths for faster calculation. This not only helped me in my MBA but I still use it as I am a financial analysta and need to work on math calculation. I favroute topics include Algebra, Trignometry, Geometry, Fractions, Permutation and combinations and Arithmetic. I enjoy teaching Quantitaive and Qualitative analysis as well. I have been a highest scorer in both the sections and have some short tricks to solve them with accuracy and in less time. networking (computer) I studied Computer Networking during my Bachelors and Masters. While I finished the basic concepts of Networking like LAN Connections, network topology, Protocols, Network architecture etc in Bachelors I studied advanced form in my Masters like Subnetting, Networking devices like Routers, switches, bridges, Repeaters, Hubs, Intranet, Extranet, wireless networks, Network virus, Man in the middle attacks, Hacking, Phishing, IP address and it's types etc. I have also done a project on INFINET (Indian Financial Network) for 4 months, where I analysed the complete traffic flowing from 83 banks. INFINET is the largest network set up by the Central Bank in India. powerpoint I have been using powerpoint since 2000 and I personally feel it is a very effective way for prepare your presentations. Since I am a financial analyst, I have to prepare client presentations and my clients include International banks. It is an amazing feeling when they compliment on my presentation skills. I can teach power point from basics to the advanced stage like making corporate presentations. I love the features provided in MS powerpoint and can teach your various shortcuts to make the presentations very quickly. sql I have learnt SQL in 1998 and have been working on it since then. I have created two software banking programs with SQL as backend and Visual Basic in Front end. I have created one hotel management program with MS Access as backend and VB as front end. Personally I feel It is a very easy querying tool. All you need to know is when to use which commands. I enjoyed working on SQL as I used for querying in MS Access as well as in SQL server. I also focus on clearing the database concepts before learning SQL, as it gives one a lot of advantage during learning. Also since the commands are in plain english, one does not take a lot of time to understand the SQL statements I am sure once you study SQL, you will have it handy for a life time. statistics Since I myself work as a Financial Analyst, I love to play with Numbers and Statistics in one area which I deal with daily. I can teach data collection, exlanation, analysis, inference , calculations and presentation of data. Apart from various statistical methods, I also lay focus on learning via Excel, which makes the calculation easy and in less time.
