Tutoring is something I do not only because I love to make a difference in someone else’s life, but also, I desire to seek challenges, meet deadlines, and accept responsibility. As an experienced tutor, I welcome the opportunity to help students of all ages with their courses of study. As a substitute teacher who is certified in all subjects K-12, I have extensive experience in working with, managing, and supervising students. Personally, I am a senior at Florida Atlantic University. I will graduate Spring 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. In the past, I have tutored everything from middle school math to calculus as well as subjects from other parts of the scholastic canon. If you are looking for a tutor with a track record of improving student’s grades, then look no further and pick me.

More On Bjorn's Subjects:

  • differential equations

My background is in math. I can tutor any level of math, any subject, anyone. My experience has been that I get students to pass their course. My credentials are passing the course at Florida Atlantic University.

  • discrete math

Dicrete Mathematics is an integral core part of the math canon. It was required for my major at Florida Atlantic University. I passed with flying colors. It's always been a field of interest for me. As with other math subjects, I am always up for the challenge. As a matter of fact, I have had math classes past the Calculus level. Being that I have a firm grasp of math courses in general, I have no reservations when it comes to tutoring discrete math. And furthermore, I have been tutoring math of all levels and ages for quite some time, so I have a lot of exposure and experience under my belt. Therefore, I do feel qualified to tutor anyone in discrete math.

  • GED

I am fully prepared to tutor any GED student. The person who is taking the GED probably did not finish high school in one or more subjects. This is where I come in because I have a very firm grasp of the academic canon as whole. There are no subjects tested on the GED that I cannot handle. Furthermore, I am very much in touch with the curriculum because I am a substitute teacher for the School Board of Broward County. I also have a library of my own resources that I have put together over years.

  • statistics

Statistics is one the subjects I study inside and outside of the classroom. It was required for my major at Florida Atlantic University. In the past, I have passed a few statistics courses: Basic / Introductory Statistics and Probability / Statistics 1. The latter course is calculus based and is taken by math majors. I am currently enrolled in Probability / Statistics 2, a continuation from the previous course. Also, in my own time, I study statistics because it is related to probability. It's always been a field of interest for me. As a matter of fact, I am studying for a professional exam outside of college. The exam tests many of the same principles tested in college statistics courses. This examination is jointly administered by the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society. Having taken requisite statistics courses and studying statistics in my spare time as well as being tested on it by a third party, I do feel qualified to tutor anyone in statistics.
