About Marquita:

I have earned a BS in Psychology from Georgia College and State University. I also minored in creative writing while in college and enjoy writing poetry and short stories during my leisure time. I have been writing since the age of 11 and have 3 published poems. I have tutored people close to me informally for a few years now, including my younger sister and my mother when she decided to go back to college. I have a love of learning and enjoy helping others find their literary voice. My tutoring style includes taking real life examples and using them to relate the material effectively and in a way that encourages learning rather than memorization. I have excellent communication skills and am able to relay information to people of various ages and backgrounds. I am also a great listener which is very important in adequately assessing the needs of someone and also being able to properly explain the lesson at hand.
