 About Val:
Hello, my name is Val and I am an energetic, personable, honest, organized and dedicated hard-worker with great references. I am pro-
ficient using MS Word, Access, PowerPoint and many of today's most common office and PC applications and now own a MAC. I have also been an Afterschool Tutor/Homework Helper for the past (going on) four years under the direct supervision of my aunt, Mary S Pounder, M. Special Ed. and a Certified Teacher of over 30 years, based out of Centerline, MI. With me, what you see is what you get, and listed here is what I'd bring to you or your student:

* You'll get loyalty, respect and commitment
* You'll get creative, dynamic ideas and
workable solutions
* You'll benefit from an old-fashioned work
ethic, "like it used to be" back in the day
* Your student will enjoy doing their homework
as well as learning something new!

I take great pride in my work and constantly strive to improve my execution as well as develop rewarding relationships with whomever I am working or consulting with.

The reason why I would like to continue or take on more tutoring is because it would allow me the ability to use my already well-honed computer operation and tutoring skills, work with or be available to a wider "audience" of students as well as the flexibility to assist others locally, as opposed to having to invest in any added time or expense by driving to a faraway learning ctr. The subjects in which I have tutored are as follows: Math, Science (up to Middle or High School, excluding Physics and Chemistry), English/Language Arts, Reading/
Phonics and the Visual or Fine Arts. At this point in time, I especially enjoy working with upper grade and middle school students, as they seem to be the ones most in need of remediation and show almost immediate improvement.

I am seeking a full or part-time, permanent or contract, on or off-site (at the student's residence or nearby library) opportunities and am available for almost immediate appointments. References and supporting documentation is available upon request. Thank you for your time and consideration; I eagerly await hearing from as well as working with you!

Learn More About Val's Experience:
Bible studies
In regards to reading, studying or having knowledge of the Bible, since I have been a converted or a practicing Christian for the past 28 or so years, I have been either reading, studying or discussing this Book all along. It is also important to note that I did attend Christian school and was home- schooled for many years as well, and therefore have had lots of exposure to the Bible as well as other complementary or explanatory texts, such as Young's, Strong's and Matthew Henry Concordances/Commentaries and am pretty familiar with most major theologians as well as preachers of the last two centuries; namely people like the Wesley Brothers, John Calvin and Knox, Van Til, Cotton Mathers, Wycliffe, Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, Billy Graham, R.C. Sproul, R.J. Rushdoony, D. James Kennedy, James McArthur, Charles Stanley, etc. Therefore, if you're looking for someone with a broad base of general Biblical knowledge, then I may be able to assist you and also have access to a few "specialists" (read pastors) who might be able to help me, help you!
