Bible studies I am a Local Preacher in the Methodist church and have taught Bible Studies and Sunday School Classes to children, teens and adults for over 25 years. I believe the Bible to be the true word of God and like to teach it in simple terms so that every listener understands the lessons taught. I like teaching generalized and specialized subjects surrounding certain themes or not. I have a facilitative style of teaching wherein I like to ask questions and get input from the class or individual allowing individual thoughts and perspective while imparting the truth of God's word. ESL/ESOL I have taught mutltiple subjects for 25+ years but one of my favorite is Teaching English to Students of other Languages. Besides teaching someone a new language, I like meeting different people and value the contributions of other cultures as well as my own. I received a liguistic certification in Hebrew from the Defense Language Institute, lived in Japan for 3 years, and have traveled all over the United States. Some other places I have visited are Okinawa, Korea, Europe (airport only), The United Arab Emirites, Bahrain, Diego Garcia- British Indian Ocean Territories and Punta Cana. I teach Business English, Everyday Conversational English, Specialized English (for any reason), Vocabulary, Grammer, English for Job Interviews or any occassion. I will assess where you are and adapt the lessons to address each individual learning style and learning need. general computer What would you like to know about a computer? I can show you how to take it apart, install software, surf the internet, or run certain applications. Or if you would just like to get more familiar with a computer or peripherals like printers and scanners let me know. I've used them and maintained them for about 15+ years in the Navy. piano I like to sing slow inspirational songs in the shower, at work, in church, and I set up on the streets sometimes and sing with my portable keyboard. I did take piano lessons as a child but became frustrated and quit while struggling trying to learn how to play by reading musical notes. As an adult, since I couldn't always have someone to accompany me on the piano, I learned how to play by ear "chord piano". Now I can listen to a song and play for myself the chords as I sing without knowing how to read music. I'm ready to show you how (to sing or play chord piano).
