I speak, read, and write near-native German and have over five years experience tutoring German language and literature. I have also tutored English in German while in Germany. My other areas of expertise are theology and world history, especially European history. I have worked with people of all ages and every student seems to like my good sense of humor and my attention to their individual needs as a tutee.

  A student of foreign languages, which at the formal level have included French, German, Latin, and Biblical Greek and at the personal level several more, I have developed a natural ability to produce grammatically correct sentences. What is more is that through the study of other languages, I have learned to recognize grammatical rules in English, and in tutoring other languages, such as French, German, and Latin, I often make use of my knowledge by comparing grammars to show similiarities and differences between the student's native language and his or her target language.

  As a tutor for over five years, I have developed the ability to work with a person and in the first couple of meetings ascertain the needs of the individual. I understand that everyone learns differently and am able to both tutor accordingly and help develop a corresponding plan of attack on any subject that may be giving the tutee difficulty.

  As a student of theology, I have read the Bible from cover to cover several times and have spent a lot of time reflecting on and researching several passages.
