I am currently a high school teacher in the Greater New Orleans area. I guide my students in preparing for a 5-year plan for either a college or a vocational pathway. I assist students in being college ready by providing them insight to what colleges expect from them and how to successfully explore, gather, and decide on colleges and universities. I assist my students in preparing for college entrance exams such as the ACT/SAT. I have served as a College Admissions Project mentor where I assisted students in the community to prepare and apply to in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities. As a mentor I was explicit about the realities of the college admissions process, deadlines, essays, FAFSA paperwork, scholarships/grants, etc. I guided students to realize a future of accomplishment and to be relentless in their efforts in applying for the colleges of their choice.
